• This is director's Shaad Ali's third film after Bunty Aur Babli and Saathiya. All three films were produced by Yash Raj films.
• This is the second time Shaad Ali has worked with Amitabh Bachchan (who has a special appearance in the film) and Abhishek Bachchan. The first time they worked together was with Bunty Aur Babli. • This is the first time director Shaad Ali has worked with Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol or Lara Dutta.
• Shah Rukh Khan has a special appearance in the film. Khan also did a cameo in Ali's first film, Saathiya.
• Both the leading ladies are re-uniting with their first heroes. Lara Dutta's first full fledged role was in Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, with Abhishek Bachchan, with whom she's engaged to in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Meanwhile Preity Zinta is paired with Bobby Deol, who she was also paired with in her first full fledged role in 1998's Soldier.
• Abhishek Bachchan has worked with Preity Zinta once before, in 2006's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (65%). They weren't paired against each other though.
• This is also the first time Abhishek has been paired with one of the Deol men, whose fathers, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, have starred in several blockbusters including Sholay and Chupke Chupke. In fact, there is a scene with Abhishek and Bobby Deol in the film that pays homage to Sholay. Abhishek has starred with Dharmendra's daughter, Esha Deol, however. They have starred in Dus (52%) and the original Dhoom (60%) together.
• Amitabh Bachchan has worked with all the actors in the past. However, the two films that featured both Amitabh and Lara Dutta (Khakee and Ek Ajnabee (52%)) both featured Lara Dutta in a special appearance.
• The music of the film has taken off in a big way and is at a 68%, which earns it the 'Good' tag and makes it one of the top soundtracks of the year. Of the 12 reviews it has, all 12 are positive, which is not an easy feat. The only soundtracks that have scored higher this year are Salaam-E-Ishq (with a 70%) and the king of the soundtracks this year, Life In A Metro (with a 75%).
